Canine corneal thickness measured by ultrasonic pachymetry
American Journal of Veterinary Research, 1991SUMMARY Ultrasonic pachymetry was used to measure central, superior peripheral, and temporal peripheral corneal thicknesses of 75 dogs (150 eyes) with normal corneas, anterior chambers, and intraocular pressure. Mean corneal thickness averaged over the 2 eyes, 3 locations, and 75 dogs was 562 ± 6.2 μm.

CCT was determinated by ultrasonic pachymeter NIDEC, design UP-1000, at Eye Department of 3rd Medical Faculty of Prague.The mean CCT at glaucoma patients was 561 microns, in margins 490-650 microns. Corneal thickness measured by ultrasonic pachymetry in cats
American Journal of Veterinary Research, 1993SUMMARY Ultrasonic pachymetry was used to measure central superior peripheral, and temporal peripheral corneal thickness of 35 cats (70 eyes) with normal corneas, anterior chambers, and intraocular pressures. Mean central corneal thickness for both eyes in 3 locations for 35 cats was 578 ± 64 µm.

[Pachymetry in the study of preservation of the cornea].
Archives d'ophtalmologie, 1977Rabbit corneas were preserved for between 7 and 14 days at + 4 degrees C in a whole eye in synthetic media (T.C. 199 and T.C. Earle) with or without added Dextran. In the absence of Dextran the corneas preserved at + 4 degrees C became thick. This thickening increased with the length of conservation.

[Ultrasonic pachymetry of the cornea].
[Zhonghua yan ke za zhi] Chinese journal of ophthalmology, 1991The DGH-2000 Ultrasonic Pachymeter was used in the measurement of the corneal thickness in 100 patients (200 eyes). The central and peripheral corneal thickness averaged 543.5 +/- 24.7 microns and 743.7 +/- 33.6 microns respectively. There was no significant difference between sexes or between the right and left eyes.
