Simultaneous Estimation of Corneal Topography, Pachymetry, and Curvature
IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, 2018Identification of objective criteria to correctly diagnose ectatic diseases of the cornea or to detect early stages of corneal ectasia is of great interest in ophthalmology and optometry. Metrics for diagnosis typically employed are curvature maps (axial/sagittal, tangential); elevation map of the anterior surface of the cornea with respect to a ...

Effect of Topical Anesthetics on Intraocular Pressure and Pachymetry
European Journal of Ophthalmology, 2008Purpose The determination of intraocular pressure (IOP) by noncontact tonometry (NCT) has been reported to be affected by central corneal thickness (CCT) and by the instillation of topical anesthetics. Methods In order to determine the

[Corneal pachymetry and intraocular pressure].
Klinische Monatsblatter fur Augenheilkunde, 2005Just recently studies on glaucoma have emphasised the significance of intraocular pressure in the diagnosis of glaucoma and the importance of intraocular pressure reduction in the management of glaucoma. Central corneal thickness appears to play an important role in the exact measurement of intraocular pressure and in the diagnostic assessment of ...

[Pachymetry in the study of preservation of the cornea].
Archives d'ophtalmologie, 1977Rabbit corneas were preserved for between 7 and 14 days at + 4 degrees C in a whole eye in synthetic media (T.C. 199 and T.C. Earle) with or without added Dextran. In the absence of Dextran the corneas preserved at + 4 degrees C became thick. This thickening increased with the length of conservation.

[Ultrasonic pachymetry of the cornea].
[Zhonghua yan ke za zhi] Chinese journal of ophthalmology, 1991The DGH-2000 Ultrasonic Pachymeter was used in the measurement of the corneal thickness in 100 patients (200 eyes). The central and peripheral corneal thickness averaged 543.5 +/- 24.7 microns and 743.7 +/- 33.6 microns respectively. There was no significant difference between sexes or between the right and left eyes.
