Pharmacological chromatin remodeling enhances response to estrogen therapy in ER+ breast cancer
Estrogen therapy elicits clinical benefit in ~ 30% of patients with endocrine‐resistant estrogen receptor (ER)‐positive breast cancer. Based on findings that ER transcriptional activation underlies response to estrogen therapy, we tested the effects of epigenetic dysregulation via pharmacological inhibition of histone deacetylases (HDACi).

A DCCP congestion control mechanism for wired-cum-wireless environments [PDF]
Existing transport protocols, be it TCP, SCTP or DCCP, do not provide an efficient congestion control mechanism for heterogeneous wired-cum-wireless networks.

Packet loss in the cognitive packet network [PDF]
Packet loss affects the ability of the network to satisfy the needs of its users. Packet loss can occur because of either congestion in the network, or because of transmission errors.

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Telchemy Incorporated Title: Packet Loss Distributions and Packet Loss Models [PDF]
This contribution discusses the general problem of modelling packet loss distribution in IP networks, and is intended to provide input to Q.12 study of IP network behaviour and background material for the Q.8 and Q.16 groups.

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...
