Packet Loss Resilient Transmission of 3D Models
This paper presents an efficient joint source-channel coding scheme based on forward error correction (FEC) for three dimensional (3D) models. The system employs a wavelet based zero-tree 3D mesh coder based on progressive geometry compression (PGC). Reed-Solomon (RS) codes are applied to the embedded output bitstream to add resiliency to packet losses.

This systematic review synthesizes prognostic models for survival and recurrence in resected non‐small cell lung cancer. While many models demonstrate moderate to good discrimination, few are externally validated and reporting quality is variable, limiting clinical applicability and highlighting the need for robust, transparent model development ...

ABSTRACT Objective Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) is a rare, life‐threatening neurological emergency with unclear etiology in many cases. Mitochondrial dysfunction, often due to disease‐causing genetic variants, is increasingly recognized as a cause, with each gene producing distinct pathophysiological mechanisms.

Adaptive FEC with Packet Size and Block Size Control over Wireless Network
Video streaming over wireless network is a challenging task due to high packet loss rate, burst packet loss, low available bandwidth, and so on. To improve the quality of transmission, Forward Error Correction (FEC) is a common technique to protect data ...

Clustering Algorithm Reveals Dopamine‐Motor Mismatch in Cognitively Preserved Parkinson's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective To explore the relationship between dopaminergic denervation and motor impairment in two de novo Parkinson's disease (PD) cohorts. Methods n = 249 PD patients from Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) and n = 84 from an external clinical cohort.

Packet loss visibility and packet prioritization in digital videos [PDF]
Traditional approaches to video quality assume that all packet losses affect quality equally. In reality, different packet losses have different visual impact and not all packet losses are visible to the average human viewer.
