Quantitative Stain Mapping in X‐Ray Virtual Histology
Virtual histology promises 3D tissue examination without physical sectioning, yet has lacked the tissue‐specificity of conventional pathology. This work demonstrates the first quantitative three‐dimensional stain mapping at histologically relevant resolution, separating contrast agent from tissue to reveal cellular features such as nuclei. The approach

Heat Exchange in a Paddy Field
In order to see characteristics of the heat exchange in paddy field, micro-meteorological observation was made in and above the field, and heat balance was estimated at the upper surface of plant layer and soil surface.Heat balance at the upper surface is represented by the equationR1=F1+l·E1+G+l·Z·dχ/dt+M·C·dθ/dt+λ·P(1)where R1 is net incoming ...

Distribution and mobility of heavy metals in paddy soils of the Kočani Field in Macedonia [PDF]
Contamination of soils with heavy metals is widespread and poses a long-term risk to ecosystem health. Abandoned and active mining sites contain residues from ore-processing operations that are characterised by high concentrations of heavy metals ...

Evaluation of agricultural ecosystem services in fallowing land based on farmers' participation and model simulation [PDF]
Fallowing with green fertilizer can benefit agricultural ecosystem services (AES). Farmers in Taiwan do not implement fallow practices and plant green fertilizer because the current subsidy level (46,000 NT$ per ha) is too low to manage fallowing.

Hyperfine coupling to 29Si$^{29}{\rm Si}$ and 73Ge$^{73}{\rm Ge}$ nuclear spins limits hole spin‐qubit coherence in Ge heterostructures. We demonstrate device‐grade, nuclear‐spin‐free 70Ge$^{70}{\rm Ge}$/28Si70Ge$^{28}{\rm Si}^{70}{\rm Ge}$ quantum wells grown on industrial SiGe buffers with minimal use of enriched precursors.

A landscape-scale simulation model (PADDY-Large) based on PADDY was developed for predicting pesticide concentrations in drainage canals and rivers due to runoff from paddy fields. Based on the irrigation systems used in agrohydrology, a rice-producing area was classified into a “field plot”, “farm block”, “district”, and “river basin” and pesticide ...

Multi-site monitoring of heat stresses and micrometeorological conditions in the rice plants communities under various climates. The micrometeorological measurements system for a common measure of the paddy environments [PDF]
Rice yield can be reduced substantially when the crop is exposed to excessive hest, which will likely occur more frequently under future climates, but the magnitudes of yield losses under open-field conditions are still difficult to predict, despite many

ReRAM/CMOS Array Integration and Characterization via Design of Experiments
This paper proposes the Design of Experiments to characterize arrays of oxide‐based ReRAM devices by exploring the large characterization space efficiently using only a few numbers of experiments. Using in‐house integration of 20 000 ReRAM devices on a CMOS chip, the unconventional optimization approach determines optimized measurement parameters and ...
