Microbial Life Inside Posidonia Seeds: Beneficial Endophytes and Implications for Marine Plant Health. [PDF]
Seagrass Posidonia oceanica seeds host diverse bacterial and fungal endophytes with plant‐growth–promoting traits, including nitrogen fixation and hormone production. These microbes may be vertically transmitted and support seedling establishment, offering insights for marine plant conservation and biotechnological applications.

Paecilomyces variotii in peritoneal dialysate [PDF]
Four cases of peritonitis caused by the filamentous fungus Paecilomyces variotii in patients on continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis are reported. Removal of the Tenckhoff catheter and antifungal chemotherapy led to resolution of symptoms in all cases. Possible contaminating events are discussed, and reported infections with P.

Chronic Cutaneous Hyalohyphomycosis by Paecilomyces [PDF]
Paecilomyces lilacinus is a ubiquitous saprophytic fungus that rarely causes infections in humans, frequently affecting the eyes and the skin. Cutaneous and subcutaneous infections mainly occur in immunocompromised hosts but have occasionally been reported in immunocompetent patients.

Human Pathogenic Paecilomyces from Food [PDF]
Paecilomyces spp. and Byssochlamys spp. are heat-resistant fungi important to industry because they can cause food and beverage spoilage, incurring economic loss. The consequences of food or beverage fungal colonization is the loss of nutritional value, structure and taste, and the possibility of producing toxic secondary metabolites that may result in
