Exploring the Prevention of Lipid Deposition Caused by High‐Fat Diet and Its Mechanism of Action of Rosa roxburghii Fermented Juice Based on Liver Metabolomics and Gut Microbiota

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 8, August 2025.
Rosa roxburghii fermented juice can improve dyslipidaemia by modulating gut microbiota disorders. Rosa roxburghii fermented juice may regulate lipid deposition by increasing metabolites such as choline, L‐Tyrosine, and L‐Phenylalanine in the liver to improve liver metabolic profile.

Protective effects of Paeonia suffruticosa callus extract in skin through anti‐inflammation and repair UVB‐induced damage

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cosmetic Science, Volume 47, Issue 4, Page 652-664, August 2025.
Peony callus extract (PCE) is beneficial for skin anti‐ageing and sensitivity induced by UVB radiation, through decreasing the level of inflammatory factors and matrix metalloproteinases. Furthermore, our research indicates that PCE effectively improves the total collagen content in human skin. Abstract Objective The study investigated effects of peony

Protective effects of paeonol on cardiovascular complications in diabetes mellitus involves modulation of PI3K /Akt-GSK-3β signalling, regulation of protease-activated receptor-1 expressions and down-regulation of inflammatory mediators

open access: yesBangladesh Journal of Pharmacology, 2015
The present study was taken as an effort to assess the effects of paeonol on diabetic cardiomyopathy. Diabetes was induced in separate groups of Sprague-Dawley rats using streptozotocin. Treatment group animals received paeonol (50, 100 or 200 mg/kg body

In Situ Gels for Nasal Delivery: Formulation, Characterization and Applications

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 310, Issue 6, June 2025.
Drug delivery through the nasal route offers many advantages, but is hampered by a number of challenges, such as the short drug retention time caused by mucociliary clearance. In situ forming gels, which undergo a sol‐to‐gel transition with specific triggers at the site of action, present real opportunities in this field.

Neuroprotective effect of paeonol against isofluraneinduced neuroapoptosis and cognitive dysfunction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Purpose: To investigate whether paeonol affords neuroprotection against isoflurane-induced neurotoxicity. Methods: Separate groups of neonatal rat pups were administered paeonol (20, 40 or 80 mg/kg) from post-natal day 3 (P3) to post-natal day 15. On post-

Protective Effects of Rat Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells‐Derived Fusogenic Plasma Membrane Vesicles Containing VSVG Protein Mediated Mitochondrial Transfer on Myocardial Injury In Vitro

open access: yesFASEB BioAdvances, Volume 7, Issue 5, May 2025.
rBMSCs‐derived fPMVs containing VSVG may exert protective effects on ischemia–reperfusion myocardial injury. The possible protection mechanisms are related to the mitochondrial transfer of fPMVs, the inhibited inflammatory response by decreasing TNF‐α and IL‐1β levels, and regulation of cellular mitochondrial functions (ROS, ATP, MRCC IV, and MT‐ND1 ...
