An Integrative Approach Toward Bio‐Inspired Sequestration of Rare Earth Elements

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 16, 27 August 2026.
The binding behavior of EF‐hand 4 of calmodulin toward different lanthanide ions was studied using a combination of spectroscopic and computational methods. A resin‐immobilized peptide demonstrated its potential as a selective and sustainable filter material for lanthanide separation.Lanthanides (Ln) are essential for renewable energy technologies, yet

Intranasal Administration of Isoeugenol Improves Memory Deficits in APP/PS1 Old Mice—A Role Beyond Nrf2 Activation?

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 15, 15 August 2026.
Inactivation of the Nrf2/Are pathway in AD leads to decreased antioxidant and anti‐inflammatory response and to the accumulation of beta‐amyloid (Aβ) plaques, resulting in cognitive failure. Treatment with Isoeugenol activates Nrf2, reversing these outcomes by promoting antioxidant response in neuronal cells (N2a) and by increasing the anti ...

Mechanisms Underlying Pain Avoidance in Complex Regional Pain Syndrome

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Pain, Volume 30, Issue 7, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Maladaptive pain avoidance plays a critical role in chronic pain development and maintenance. Pain avoidance reinforced instrumentally through action‐outcome contingencies remains poorly understood, specifically in complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), a nociplastic condition.

Rupatadine Ameliorates Cisplatin‐Induced Hepatotoxicity in Rats: Targeting HMGB1/TLR4/NF‐κB and NLRP3/Caspase‐1 Signaling Pathways

open access: yesJournal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology, Volume 40, Issue 8, August 2026.
Graphical representation of the probable mechanisms underlying the effect of RUPA on CISP‐evoked hepatotoxicity in rats. ABSTRACT Despite cisplatin (CISP) is broadly employed in cancer therapy, its adverse effects, involving hepatotoxicity, restrict its clinical usage.

The Japanese Catheter Ablation Registry (J‐AB): Annual Report in 2024

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 4, August 2026.
Analysis of 112 151 catheter ablation procedures from the 2024 Japanese Catheter Ablation (J‐AB) Registry demonstrated consistently low acute complication rates, with a slight reduction from 2023, confirming the safety of contemporary catheter ablation practice in Japan.

Strategy‐Specific Effects of Low‐Voltage Area–Targeted Ablation Added to Pulmonary Vein Isolation: A Meta‐Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 4, August 2026.
Adding LVA‐targeted ablation to PVI was associated with a reduction in atrial tachyarrhythmia recurrence compared with PVI alone. The treatment effect appeared more pronounced in trials employing LVA isolation than in those using homogenization. AF, atrial fibrillation; LVA, low‐voltage area; PVI, pulmonary vein isolation.
