Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Nonlocality and dynamic response of Majorana states in fermionic superfluids

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2017
We suggest a microscopic model describing the nonlocal ac response of a pair of Majorana states in fermionic superfluids beyond the tunneling approximation.

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

A Simple Approximation of Productivity Scores of Fuzzy Production Plans [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper suggests a simple approximation procedure for the assessment of productivity scores with respect to fuzzy production plans. The procedure has a clear economic interpretation and all the necessary calculations can be performed in a spreadsheet ...

Joint approximation of analytic functions by discrete shifts of a pair of periodic zeta-functions.

open access: yes, 2022
In the master thesis, the problem of simultaneous approximation of a pair of analytic functions by a pair of discrete shifts of the periodic and periodic Hurwitz zeta-function is considered. The above shifts are defined by using the sequence of imaginary

Researches on the problem of link disjoint paths pair with QoS constraints

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2006
The problem of link disjoint paths pair with QoS constraints was discussed. Two routing models about link dis-joint optimal paths pair with QoS constraints were constructed.First it proved that the problem of link disjoint paths pair in the undirected ...

Enhanced vacuum pair production by combination of two spatially separated electric fields

open access: yesResults in Physics
The effective enhancement of the pair production rate using a subcritical electromagnetic field is an active area of interest in quantum electrodynamics.

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.
