High-energy approximation for on-shell W-pair production

open access: yes, 1993
Starting from the exact virtual and soft-photonic O(α) corrections to the differential cross section for on-shell W-pair production we derive a high-energy approximation valid for energies much higher than the W-boson mass. This approximation is improved

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

Pair-Reaction Dynamics in Water: Competition of Memory, Potential Shape, and Inertial Effects

open access: yes
When described by a one-dimensional reaction coordinate, pair-reaction rates in a solvent depend, in addition to the potential barrier height and the friction coefficient, on the potential shape, the effective mass, and the friction relaxation spectrum ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

On the Connectivity of Wireless Network Systems and an Application in Teacher-Student Interactive Platforms

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2014
A wireless network system is a pair (U;B), where B is a family of some base stations and U is a set of their users. To investigate the connectivity of wireless network systems, this paper takes covering approximation spaces as mathematical models of ...

Description of odd-A deformed nuclei in the collective pair approximation

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1984
Abstract The collective pair approximation previously applied to the description of even—even deformed nuclei is extended to describe the neighbour odd nuclei. The results show a close similarity to those obtained in the Nilsson model with pairing, for both (quasi-particle) energies and spectroscopic one-particle transfer factors.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Common Fixed Points for Suzuki-Generalized Nonexpansive Maps

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2013
A common fixed point theorem for a pair of maps satisfying condition (C) is proved under certain conditions. We extend the well-knownDeMarr's fixed point theorem to the case of noncommuting family of maps satisfying condition (C).
