Abstract Aims To assess whether higher wattage e‐cigarettes (HWe), with improved nicotine delivery, enhance complete substitution compared with lower wattage e‐cigarettes (LWe) and whether complete switching lowers exposure to a cigarette‐derived lung carcinogen, using urinary 4‐(methylnitrosamino)‐1‐(3‐pyridyl)‐1‐butanol (NNAL) as a biomarker.
