Concept for a gas operated actuator [PDF]
Palladium valve, permeable to hydrogen gas, is used to fill a bellows mechanism from a source of hydrogen to power an actuator. A similar valve provides retraction. The valves have no moving parts and are heat operated.

Palladium: A DPU-enabled Multi-Tenant Serverless Cloud over Zero-copy Multi-node RDMA Fabrics [PDF]
Serverless computing promises enhanced resource efficiency and lower user costs, yet is burdened by a heavyweight, CPU-bound data plane. Prior efforts exploiting shared memory reduce overhead locally but fall short when scaling across nodes. Furthermore, serverless environments can have unpredictable and large-scale multi-tenancy, leading to contention

The Regulation of Trace Metal Elements in Cancer Ferroptosis
The induction of ferroptosis inhibits tumor growth, enhances anticancer efficacy, and overcomes drug resistance. Recent evidence shows nonferrous metal elements play a role in ferroptosis. This review focuses on how trace metals regulate ferroptosis processes like iron accumulation, lipid peroxidation, and antioxidant defense.

The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Laser powder‐bed fusion (L‐PBF) can produce dense WE43 magnesium alloy parts, but their mechanical properties are limited by a nonhomogeneous microstructure. This study investigates the effects of varying direct aging (T5) and artificial age‐hardening (T6) conditions on microstructure and strength. Optimized T6 treatment significantly improves strength
