“Private Finance” is increasingly positioned as being a solution to problems around nature degradation and combating climate change in the United Kingdom (UK). Payments for ecosystem services, when made by the private sector, are seen as an integral part

Gold and palladium as indicators of an extraterrestrial component in the Cetaceous/Tertiary boundary layer at Woodside Creek and Chancet Quarry, Marlborough, New Zealand : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Science in Earth Sciences at Massey University [PDF]
It is widely believed that a large meteorite approximately 10 km in diameter impacted Earth at the termination of the Cretaceous Period with cosmic velocity, vaporising itself, along with a greater mass of the terrestrial target rocks into a cloud of hot

Catch and release’ cascades: a resin-mediated three-component cascade approach to small molecules [PDF]
The application of a ‘catch and release’ approach to palladium-catalysed multi-component cascade reactions leads to diverse libraries of pharmacologically interesting small molecules in high yield and with excellent ...

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

O,N,N-Pincer ligand effects on oxidatively induced carbon–chlorine coupling reactions at palladium [PDF]
The syntheses of two families of sterically tuneable O,N,N pro-ligands are reported, namely the 2-(phenyl-2′-ol)-6-imine-pyridines, 2-(C6H4-2′-OH),6-(CMe[double bond, length as m-dash]NAr)C5H3N [Ar = 4-i-PrC6H4 (HL1a), 2,6-i-Pr2C6H3 (HL1b)] and the 2 ...

Methods to improve antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) treatment durability in cancer therapy are needed. We utilized ADCs and immune‐stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs), which are made from two non‐competitive antibodies, to enhance the entry of toxic payloads into cancer cells and deliver immunostimulatory agents into immune cells.

Preparation and Property of Palladium/Alumina Composite
Palladium is often used as the preferred material for hydrogen isotope separation, but pure palladium tends to be pulverized due to internal stress after repeated hydrogen absorption and desorption cycles.

Concept for a gas operated actuator [PDF]
Palladium valve, permeable to hydrogen gas, is used to fill a bellows mechanism from a source of hydrogen to power an actuator. A similar valve provides retraction. The valves have no moving parts and are heat operated.

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a
