Palladium/polyethylenimine catalysts
Journal of Molecular Catalysis, 1985Abstract We report the preparation and evaluation of palladium catalysts made from polyethylenimine (PEI)/silica composites. PEI was adsorbed to either porous silica beads or silica gel. Following crosslinking, the material was leached with base to increase the surface area and availability of the polymer.

An efficient dehydroxymethylation reaction by a palladium catalyst
Chem. Commun., 2013A general method for selective dehydroxymethylation has been discovered by using widely available Pd(OAc)(2). The present study offers a new synthetic strategy for the regioselective functionalization by employing the steric, electronic and coordinating nature of the hydroxymethyl (-CH(2)OH) group temporarily.

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2010The catalytic activity of palladium toward selective hydrogenation of hydrocarbons depends on the partial pressure of hydrogen. It has been suggested that the reaction proceeds selectively toward partial hydrogenation only when a carbon-rich film is present at the metal surface.
