MAPK-mediated auxin signal transduction pathways regulate the malic acid secretion under aluminum stress in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
An isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantitative (iTRAQ)-based quantitative proteomic approach was used to screen the differentially expressed proteins during control treatment (CK), aluminum (Al) and Al+ indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) treatment of ...

Ginseng polysaccharides prevent mastitis through Lactobacillus murinus‐derived deoxycholic acid and TGR5 signaling

open access: yesiMetaOmics, EarlyView.
Prebiotic Ginseng polysaccharides (GP) alleviate mastitis through selective enrichment of gut L. murinus, which elevates its anti‐inflammatory metabolite deoxycholic acid (DCA). Circulating DCA engages mammary epithelial TGR5 receptors, triggering the cAMP–PKA pathway to suppress NF‐κB/NLRP3‐mediated inflammation.

Ginsenoside Rg1 Ameliorates LPS‐Induced Sepsis‐Associated Lung Injury in Mice via VEGFC/D‐VEGFR3 Signaling‐Mediated Lymphangiogenesis and Lymphatic Remodeling

open access: yesThe Kaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sepsis‐induced acute lung injury (ALI) remains challenging to treat, with conventional anti‐inflammatory therapies offering limited efficacy. The lymphatic system is crucial for removing edema and inflammatory mediators, and its impairment can exacerbate lung injury.

The remediation effects of microbial organic fertilizer on soil microorganisms after chloropicrin fumigation

open access: yesEcotoxicology and Environmental Safety, 2022
Soil fumigation with chloropicrin (CP) is an effective means of overcoming continuous cropping obstacles (CCO) in Panax notoginseng and improving its yield and quality. CP fumigation can change the microbial community of soil. Therefore, a key step after

Conservation status of species used in the UK herbal medicine industry

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
Given the ongoing biodiversity crisis, sustainable use and management of medicinal plants is critical. We assessed the conservation status, threats and conservation actions of 298 species sold by UK suppliers to medical herbalists. We found that most species used are unevaluated, representing a gap in conservation knowledge, and of those with ...
