Pancreatic pseudocyst in a 4-year-old child

open access: yesSahel Medical Journal, 2019
Pancreatic pseudocyst is a localized fluid collection that is rich in amylase and other pancreatic enzymes and is surrounded by a wall of fibrous tissue. Pseudocysts are connected to the pancreatic ductal system, through the pancreatic parenchyma.

Pancreatic abscess within hepato-gastric ligament: case report of an extremely rare disease

open access: yesBMC Surgery, 2020
Background Pancreatic pseudocyst is a very common benign cystic lesion of the pancreas. It develops in 5–15% of patients with peri-pancreatic fluid collection following acute pancreatitis.

Unlocking the Potential of MXene‐Based Electrochemical Biosensors: A Review of Biofunctionalization Strategies and Biosensing Principles

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Electrochemical biosensors enable the accurate and timely detection of clinical biomarkers, improving healthcare and precision medicine. MXene nanosheets, a class of 2D transition metal carbides, nitrides, and carbonitrides, are promising materials for developing next‐generation electrochemical biosensors due to their unique physicochemical ...

Squamoid cystosis of pancreatic ducts: a variant of a newly-described cystic lesion, with evidence for an obstructive etiology

open access: yesRare Tumors, 2014
We describe a 40-year-old man who was found to have a cystic mass in the pancreatic tail during workup for weight loss and abdominal discomfort. Although computed tomography scan showed a single cyst associated with dilatation of the main pancreatic duct,

Tailoring Vascular‐Immune Homeostasis via Manganese‐DNA Complex‐Armed Immunogenic Extracellular Vesicles for Pancreatic Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that Mn2⁺–tumor DNA complexes encapsulated in dendritic cell (DC)– derived immunogenic extracellular vesicles (EVDC@Mn‐DNA) act as a DC‐specific cGAS– STING activator. EVDC@Mn‐DNA treatment enhances intratumoral DC activation, improves tumor vascular function, promotes CD8⁺ T cell activity, and suppresses pancreatic tumor growth,

The Association of Choledochal Cyst and Pancreatitis: A Case Report and Review of the Literature

open access: yesJournal of Pediatric Research, 2017
Choledochal cysts are relatively rare congenital anomalies which are characterized by dilatation of the extra-and/or intra-hepatic bile ducts. Pancreatic involvement before choledochal cyst operation might be a risk factor for postoperative pancreatitis.

NIBV Induces Incomplete Autophagy via AMPK‐TFEB, Causing Kidney Injury in Chicks

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that NIBV can inhibit the nuclear translocation of TFEB by suppressing the expression of AMPK, leading to the blockade of autophagolysosomal functions, in turn increasing NIBV replication and triggering severe kidney injury in chicks.

Pancreatic Hydatid Cyst Causing Acute Pancreatitis: A Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesCase Reports in Surgery, 2018
Hydatidosis is a public health problem in endemic countries. Hydatid cysts are located usually in the liver and the lungs. Primary pancreatic hydatid cyst is in unusual location and rarely causes acute pancreatitis.
