Laparoscopic median arcuate ligament release using an anterior approach for median arcuate ligament syndrome

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, Volume 8, Issue 6, Page 1137-1143, November 2024.
In this study, we performed lap‐MALR via an anterior approach with dissection of the right lateral wall of the celiac artery (CA). For optimal visualization of the right side of the CA, the right branch of the inferior phrenic artery was divided. We believe that this procedure allows the MAL to be released within a sufficient surgical field and without

Renal pseudoaneurysm after calculous pyelonephritis

open access: yesIJU Case Reports, Volume 7, Issue 3, Page 234-237, May 2024.

Retroperitoneal hemorrhage due to ruptured artery induced by median arcuate ligament syndrome in patients with COVID‐19: A case series

open access: yesAcute Medicine &Surgery, Volume 11, Issue 1, January/December 2024.
We treated six COVID‐19 patients with retroperitoneal hemorrhage induced by MALS. Although retroperitoneal hemorrhage associated with MALS is rare, it can be potentially triggered by COVID‐19 disease and result in arterial disruption and hemorrhage. CT scanning may be needed to rule out MALS in COVID‐19 patients with abdominal pain.

Combined treatment of an aortosplenic bypass followed by coil embolization in the treatment of pancreaticoduodenal artery aneurysms caused by median arcuate ligament compression: a report of two cases

open access: yesSurgical Case Reports, 2021
Background Pancreaticoduodenal artery aneurysms (PDAAs) are rare visceral aneurysms, and prompt intervention/treatment of all PDAAs is recommended at the time of diagnosis to avoid rupture of aneurysms.
