GM Estimation of Higher Order Spatial Autoregressive Processes in Panel Data Error Component Models [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper presents a generalized moments (GM) approach to estimating an R-th order spatial regressive process in a panel data error component model. We derive moment conditions to estimate the parameters of the higher order spatial regressive process ...

A penalized spline estimator for fixed effects panel data models [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Estimating nonlinear effects of continuous covariates by penalized splines is well established for regressions with cross-sectional data as well as for panel data regressions with random effects. Penalized splines are particularly advantageous since they

Hidden Markov models for multivariate panel data

open access: yesStatistics and Computing
While advances continue to be made in model-based clustering, challenges persist in modeling various data types such as panel data. Multivariate panel data present difficulties for clustering algorithms because they are often plagued by missing data and dropouts, presenting issues for estimation algorithms.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Estimating panel data duration models with censored data

open access: yes, 2005
This paper presents a method for estimating a class of panel data duration models, under which an unknown transformation of the duration variable is linearly related to the observed explanatory variables and the unobserved heterogeneity (or frailty ...

Does Fiscal Devaluation Work for Everyone? Diversified Impact of Fiscal Devaluation on Employment Rates

open access: yesGospodarka Narodowa. The Polish Journal of Economics
The study analyses the effects of fiscal devaluation on employment rates and finds that the significance and magnitude of this impact vary considerably by gender and age. The effect is substantially stronger for men than for women.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.
