Modeling binary panel data with nonresponse [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Abstract: This paper studies modeling of nonignorable nonresponse in panel surveys. A class of sequential conditional logistic models for nonresponse is considered. Model-based maximum likelihood estimation and imputation are used for estimating population proportions.

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Identification and Estimation of Nonlinear Dynamic Panel Data Models with Unobserved Covariates [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper considers nonparametric identification of nonlinear dynamic models for panel data with unobserved voariates. Including such unobserved covariates may control for both the individual-specific unobserved heterogeneity and the endogeneity of the ...

The main goal of a scientific journal is to diffuse new knowledge. The number of citations received by a journal can be considered as a measure of this objective and, in turn, as a measure of productivity in relation to the production process in which ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

When Inflation Drives Twin Deficits Catch in the Eurozone [PDF]

open access: yesAmfiteatru Economic
The paper explores the impact of inflation on the validity of the twin deficits hypothesis (TDH) in the Eurozone countries, focussing on how different inflation levels influence twin deficit existence (i.e., a positive relation between fiscal and ...

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Estimation in Single-Index Panel Data Models with Heterogeneous Link Functions [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper, we study semiparametric estimation for a single-index panel data model where the nonlinear link function varies among the individuals. We propose using the refined minimum average variance estimation method to estimate the parameter in the
