One-step cloning and targeted duplication of Pantoea ananatis chromosomal fragments
Journal of Microbiological Methods, 2023In this study, we describe a novel method for one-step cloning and targeted duplication of P. ananatis chromosomal fragments. According to this method, the chromosomal region of interest is subcloned in vivo via λ Red recombination into the short synthetic non-replicable DNA fragment containing the excisable antibiotic-resistance marker gene and φ80 ...

Stereospecific linalool production utilizing two-phase cultivation system in Pantoea ananatis
Journal of Biotechnology, 2020Linalool is a monoterpene alcohol, which imparts floral scents to a variety of plants and is extensively used in various kinds of products, such as processed foods and beverages for fragrances and flavors. However, linalool from natural resources is racemate, and production of linalool enantiomers is difficult.

Biochemical characterization of l-arabitol 2-dehydrogenase from Pantoea ananatis
Journal of Bioscience and Bioengineering, 2012Two oxidoreductases, XDH and LAD, were found in the same operon that was involved in sugar metabolism in Pantoea ananatis. LAD, whose endogenous substrate was unknown, was recombinantly prepared and biochemically analyzed. Consequently, LAD was identified as l-arabitol 2-dehydrogenase and its substrate specificity was complementary to that of XDH.

Enterobacter asburiae and Pantoea ananatis Causing Rice Bacterial Blight in China
Plant Disease, 2021Rice bacterial blight is a devastating bacterial disease threatening rice yield all over the world and Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae is traditionally believed to be the pathogen. In recent years, we have received diseased rice samples with symptoms of blighted leaves from Sichuan and Guangdong provinces, China.

In-vitro inhibiton of Pantoea ananatis by antagonistic bacteria
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2017Like most cultivated crops, onions (Allium cepa L.) are plagued by phytopathogenic bacteria. Although bacterial diseases of onion occur sporadically, they can cause loss of yield, in the range of a few percent up to 40%. Center rot of onion caused by Pantoea ananatis is the one of the major bacterial disease. Cultural methods and copper compounds often

First Report of Pantoea ananatis Causing Crown Necrobiosis on Strawberry in China
Plant Disease, 2023Strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa) is an economically important crop in Zhejiang, China. In the autumn of 2021, crown necrobiosis and angular leaf spot was observed in commercial strawberry fields (cultivar 'fenyu') in Cixi, Ningbo, Zhejiang, China (N30°9'55″, E121°21'13″). The disease incidence ranged from 5 to 8 % in the field, but could reach 50 to 60

Application of inorganic phosphate limitation to efficient isoprene production in Pantoea ananatis
Journal of Applied Microbiology, 2019Establishment of an efficient isoprene fermentation process by adopting inorganic phosphate limitation as the trigger to direct metabolic flux to the isoprene synthetic pathway. We constructed isoprene-producing strains of Pantoea ananatis (a member of the Enterobacteriaceae family) by integrating a heterologous mevalonate pathway and a metabolic switch

During a survey in 2011–2012, three ornamental plants of Araceae namely Aglaonema nitidum, Syngonium podophyllum and Dieffenbachia amoena showing foliar disease symptoms were collected from central region of Iran. Infected plants exhibited spots on their leaves which appeared as yellow and water-soaked with chlorotic haloes and necrotic center.
