Pantoea phytostimulans sp. nov., a novel strain with plant growth-promoting properties

open access: yesInternational Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology
A phosphate-solubilizing bacterial strain, designated C3T, was isolated from the rhizosphere of sorghum. The taxonomic classification of this novel isolate was investigated by using a polyphasic approach. Cells of this strain were Gram-stain-negative, facultatively anaerobic and motile short rods with a polar flagellum.

Discovery of Pantoea rodasii Strain ND03 that Produces N-(3-Oxo-hexanoyl)-L-homoserine Lactone

open access: yesSensors, 2014
Proteobacteria use quorum sensing to regulate target gene expression in response to population density. Quorum sensing (QS) is achieved via so-called signalling molecules and the best-studied QS signalling system uses N-acyl homoserine lactones (AHLs ...

Genome sequence and description of Pantoea septica strain FF5 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Strain FF5 was isolated from the skin flora of a healthy Senegalese 35-year-old woman. This strain was identified as belonging to the species Pantoea septica based on rpoB sequence identity of 99.7 % with Pantoea septica strain LMG 5345(T) and a highest ...
