Paper-Based Ion-Selective Potentiometric Sensors
Analytical Chemistry, 2012A new approach to develop ultra low-cost, robust, rugged, and disposable potentiometric sensors is presented. A suspension of carbon nanotubes in a water-surfactant mixture (carbon nanotubes ink) is applied on conventional filter papers to turn them into conductive papers, which are then used as a substrate to build ion-selective electrodes.

Towards paper based diaper sensors
2015 IEEE Biomedical Circuits and Systems Conference (BioCAS), 2015This paper presents our initial efforts towards the development of screen printed sensors on folded paper substrates for multi-modal sensing of biopotentials, wetness, and pressure. These sensors contain three layers of sensing stripes forming a 16-pixel array where various layers are utilized for different sensing modalities.

Paper-based capacitive mass sensor
2011 IEEE SENSORS Proceedings, 2011Paper-based MEMS is a new area in the field of micro-electro mechanical systems. We have developed a paper-based MEMS sensing device that is capable of measuring masses as small as 2mg (∼20µN) with a sensitivity of 0.5fF/mg. Using this device, we monitored changes in capacitance values, which can be related to mass changes.
