Perforated Paper-Based Piezoresistive Force Sensor
In this work, a paper-based disposable piezoresistive force sensor has been designed, fabricated and tested along with peripheral electronic circuit. Strathmore®400 series Bristol paper is employed as the substrate and it is coated with graphite and silver ink to form a perforated cantilever beam which constitutes the sensor part of the force sensing ...

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Energy managed reporting for wireless sensor networks
In this paper, we propose a technique to extend the network lifetime of a wireless sensor network, whereby each sensor node decides its individual network involvement based on its own energy resources and the information contained in each packet.

Practical identity-based key agreement for secure communication in sensor networks [PDF]
Despite much research effort key distribution in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) still remains an open problem. In this paper we address this issue by proposing a simple identity- based key agreement scheme. Our protocol uses Identity-Based Cryptography (

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
