Abstract Purpose Cognitive‐behavioural therapy for psychosis (CBTp) achieves small to modest effect sizes, which invites the question, ‘What clinical modifications might improve outcomes?’ This paper proposes an integration of CBTp with a neuropsychoanalytic approach that in clinical practice might extend the gains achieved by CBTp alone.

The Impact of Altered Gravity and Vibration on Endothelial Cells During a Parabolic Flight
Background: Endothelial cells (EC) cultured under altered gravity conditions show a cytoskeletal disorganization and differential gene expression (short-term effects), as well as apoptosis in adherently growing EC or formation of tubular 3D structures ...

A time lens for high resolution neutron time of flight spectrometers
We examine in analytic and numeric ways the imaging effects of temporal neutron lenses created by traveling magnetic fields. For fields of parabolic shape we derive the imaging equations, investigate the time-magnification, the evolution of the phase ...

Forgive, Because You Were Forgiven
ABSTRACT Philosophical orthodoxy has it that forgiveness is always discretionary—a gift we are free to extend to those who wrong us, but one that we are never morally required to offer. I dispute this orthodoxy, arguing that forgiveness is sometimes obligatory, even though wrongdoers can never demand or otherwise extract it from us.

Integrated STEM conceptualizations among teachers following a professional development program
Abstract Because teachers are now more often expected to develop integrated STEM lessons, it is essential to understand their conceptualizations to be able to support them effectively. This qualitative study explored teachers' integrated STEM conceptualizations upon participation in an engineering‐focused professional development program of 4 days ...

Radio Frequency Selective Addressing of Localized Particles in a Periodic Potential
We study the localization and addressability of ultra cold atoms in a combined parabolic and periodic potential. Such a potential supports the existence of localized stationary states and we show that using a radio frequency field allows to selectively ...
