Special metrics and scales in parabolic geometry
Given a parabolic geometry, it is sometimes possible to find special metrics characterised by some invariant conditions. In conformal geometry, for example, one asks for an Einstein metric in the conformal class.

A Computational Approach for Biomimetic Design of Liver‐On‐A‐Chip
A biomimetic liver‐on‐a‐chip with antiparallel perfusion was designed using COMSOL‐guided simulation to replicate hepatic acinus transport. Full‐scale modelling revealed diffusion‐dominated, length‐dependent nutrient gradients and low‐shear conditions.

In Situ Contact Angle Measurement for Autonomous Spin Coating in Self‐Driving Labs
A vision‐based add‐on transforms commercial spin coaters into autonomous modules of Self‐Driving Labs. Combining a width‐scaled U‐Net with classical geometric analysis, the system simultaneously measures contact angles and estimates substrate pose using a single camera.

Liquid Jetting‐Based Miniature Robotic Navigation in Confined Fluidic Spaces
We introduce a new class of liquid‐jetting‐based miniature robots (JetBots) ranging in size from mm‐to‐cm, featuring a unified approach in design, fabrication, and actuation. They demonstrate fast locomotion (30.3 cm/s), rapid steering (648.8°/s), and diverse functions, such as puncturing soft materials and unlimited cargo sampling and delivery, paving

The geometry of the parabolic Hilbert schemes
We discuss the parabolic Hilbert scheme of points on smooth surface, which is an interesting generalization of Hilbert scheme of points on surface. Some of the studies by Ellingsrud-Stromme, Goettsche, Cheah, Nakajima and Grojnowski can be generalized in our parabolic case.

One‐Shot Multimaterial 3D Printing of a Flexible Spine for a Robotic Fish Prototype
A one‐shot multimaterial 3D printing approach enables a monolithic soft robotic fish integrating a compliant spine and rigid vertebrae. Electromagnetic linear actuators drive tendon‐based transmission, producing controlled tail oscillations. Finite element modeling and experiments show strong agreement, while optimized material selection improves ...

Heat Transfer in n‐Dimensional Parallelepipeds Under Zero Dirichlet Conditions
This article presents a comprehensive analytical study of heat propagation in an n‐dimensional bounded domain subject to zero Dirichlet boundary conditions, corresponding to a thermally insulated parallelepiped with internal heat sources. While classical

Modelling of Cutting Force and Deflection of Medical Needles with Different Tip Geometries
Insertion of needle into tissue is influenced by the cutting edges and the needle tip geometry. In this paper, we aimed at investigating the relationship between the insertion forces and cutting edge geometry and general mathematical models of included ...
