Effects of pH changes on blood physiology, antioxidant responses and Ig M of juvenile olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus

open access: yesAquaculture Reports, 2021
Our aim was to assess the blood physiology and antioxidant and immune responses of the olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) following pH changes in the water. P.

Comparison of juvenile growth of wild and hatchery-raised olive flounders Paralichthys olivaceus as examined by otolith microstructure

open access: yesAquaculture and Fisheries, 2020
Fish stocking is a common practice for restocking wild populations of fishes, and the growth conditions of hatchery-raised fishes are a major key for successful recruitment.

Genetic Linkage Map of Olive Flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Biological Sciences, 2008
Olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus, is an important fish species in Asia, both for fisheries and aquaculture. As the first step for better understanding the genomic structure and functional analysis, we constructed a genetic linkage map for olive flounder based on 180 microsatellites and 31 expressed sequence tag (EST)-derived markers.

Synchronously Mature Intersex Japanese Flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus): A Rare Case. [PDF]

open access: yesAnimals (Basel)
Japanese flounder is usually gonochoristic, with gonads that are either testes or ovaries. Here, we report an unusual case of hermaphroditism in Japanese flounder captured from the Bohai Sea. In the intersex flounder, the membrane of the upper ovary was closely connected to the abdominal muscles and internal organs, and the eggs filled the entire ...

The Residues of Enrofloxacin in Cultured Paralichthys olivaceus [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of fish pathology, 2013
Enrofloxacin is one of the normally used flouroquinolones in mammalian and fish but its withdrawal time and studies were remain obscure. The residual contents of enrofloxacin in fish muscle were analyzed by using HPLC-FLD. More than 0.1 mg/kg of ENR was detected in muscle tissues and the residues were found over 1 year after treatment.

Cloning and analysis of promoter of Paralichthys olivaceus Follistatin gene

open access: yes浙江大学学报. 农业与生命科学版, 2007
In order to study the tissue expression character of Follistatin gene in marine fish, the promoter of Paralichthys olivaceus Follistatin gene was isolated by PCR, and the sequence was analyzed; the function of Follistatin gene on the development of ...

The correlations data between whether liposomes are coated or not and flatfish's (paralichthys olivaceus) Streptococcus parauberis antibody formation ability and survival rates

open access: yesData in Brief, 2019
Streptococcus parauberis is a known etiologic agent that causes damage leading to death in flatfish (paralichthys olivaceus). Liposomes were used to deliver streptococcal oral vaccines to the intestinal mucous membranes of paralichthys olivaceus.

Effects of time and duration of rearing with bottom sand on the occurrence and expansion of staining-type hypermelanosis in the Japanese flounder Paralichthys olivaceus [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We previously reported that the progression of staining-type hypermelanosis spontaneously ceased at a specific time and area in Japanese flounder Paralichthys olivaceus.

Differential expression of olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) transcriptome during viral hemorrhagic septicemia virus (VHSV) infection at warmer and colder temperature

open access: yesData in Brief, 2018
The data presented here are related to the research article entitled “Temperature-dependent immune response of olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) infected with viral hemorrhagic septicemia virus (VHSV)” [1].

Effect of low-fishmeal diets on some digestive physiological responses of juvenile and growing olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) fed at an industrial-scale fish farm

open access: yesAquaculture Reports, 2021
This study examined the digestive physiological response of juvenile and growing olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) fed low-fishmeal diets. P. olivaceus (mean initial weight: 7.86 g) were cultured in eight square concrete tanks (10 × 10 m) at a ...
