Effects on antioxidant responses, stress indicator and immune responses of olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus raised in bio-floc culture or seawater culture challenged by Streptococcus iniae [PDF]
Olive flounders, Paralichthys olivaceus (mean weight 1,027 ± 65 g, mean length 44.03 ± 3.1 cm) were raised in bio-floc culture or seawater culture for 10 months. The P.

Dietary Valine Requirement of Juvenile Olive Flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) [PDF]
This study was conducted to estimate dietary valine (Val) requirement for juvenile olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus). In a feeding trial, a total of 540 fish (initial body weight: 23.0 ± 0.2 g) were stocked into 18 tanks (210 L).

The Residues of Enrofloxacin in Cultured Paralichthys olivaceus [PDF]
Enrofloxacin is one of the normally used flouroquinolones in mammalian and fish but its withdrawal time and studies were remain obscure. The residual contents of enrofloxacin in fish muscle were analyzed by using HPLC-FLD. More than 0.1 mg/kg of ENR was detected in muscle tissues and the residues were found over 1 year after treatment.

Ontogenetic phase shifts in metabolism in a flounder Paralichthys olivaceus [PDF]
Size-scaling metabolism is widely considered to be of significant importance in biology and ecology. Thus, allometric relationships between metabolic rate (VO2) and body mass (M), VO2 = a(i)Mb, have long been a topic of interest and speculation. It has been proposed that intraspecifically metabolic rate scales isometrically or near isometrically with ...

Cloning and analysis of promoter of Paralichthys olivaceus Follistatin gene
In order to study the tissue expression character of Follistatin gene in marine fish, the promoter of Paralichthys olivaceus Follistatin gene was isolated by PCR, and the sequence was analyzed; the function of Follistatin gene on the development of ...
