Effects on antioxidant responses, stress indicator and immune responses of olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus raised in bio-floc culture or seawater culture challenged by Streptococcus iniae [PDF]

open access: yesComparative Immunology Reports
Olive flounders, Paralichthys olivaceus (mean weight 1,027 ± 65 g, mean length 44.03 ± 3.1 cm) were raised in bio-floc culture or seawater culture for 10 months. The P.

Dietary Valine Requirement of Juvenile Olive Flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) [PDF]

open access: yesAquaculture Nutrition
This study was conducted to estimate dietary valine (Val) requirement for juvenile olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus). In a feeding trial, a total of 540 fish (initial body weight: 23.0 ± 0.2 g) were stocked into 18 tanks (210 L).

The Residues of Enrofloxacin in Cultured Paralichthys olivaceus [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of fish pathology, 2013
Enrofloxacin is one of the normally used flouroquinolones in mammalian and fish but its withdrawal time and studies were remain obscure. The residual contents of enrofloxacin in fish muscle were analyzed by using HPLC-FLD. More than 0.1 mg/kg of ENR was detected in muscle tissues and the residues were found over 1 year after treatment.

Comparative analysis of morphological characteristics, hematological parameters, body composition and sensory evaluation in olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus raised in biofloc and seawater to evaluate marketability

open access: yesAquaculture Reports, 2023
This study evaluated the productivity on the market of olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus, raised in biofloc. The marketability evaluation was measured by morphology, body composition, hematological parameters, and sensory evaluation in P. olivaceus (

Genetic Linkage Map of Olive Flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus

open access: yesInternational Journal of Biological Sciences, 2008
Olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus, is an important fish species in Asia, both for fisheries and aquaculture. As the first step for better understanding the genomic structure and functional analysis, we constructed a genetic linkage map for olive ...

Ontogenetic phase shifts in metabolism in a flounder Paralichthys olivaceus [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2014
Size-scaling metabolism is widely considered to be of significant importance in biology and ecology. Thus, allometric relationships between metabolic rate (VO2) and body mass (M), VO2 = a(i)Mb, have long been a topic of interest and speculation. It has been proposed that intraspecifically metabolic rate scales isometrically or near isometrically with ...
