Actuation Spaces Synthesis of Lower-Mobility Parallel Mechanisms Based on Screw Theory

open access: yes, 2021
The lower-mobility parallel mechanism has been widely used in the engineering field due to its numerous excellent characteristics. However, little work has been devoted to the actuator selection and placement that best satisfy the system’s functional ...

Dynamics and Isotropic Control of Parallel Mechanisms for Vibration Isolation

open access: yesIEEE/ASME transactions on mechatronics, 2020
Parallel mechanisms have been employed as architectures of high-precision vibration isolation systems. However, their performances in all degrees of freedom (DOFs) are nonidentical. The conventional solution to this problem is isotropic mechanism design,

A New Method for Type Synthesis of 2R1T and 2T1R 3-DOF Redundant Actuated Parallel Mechanisms with Closed Loop Units

open access: yes, 2020
The current type synthesis of the redundant actuated parallel mechanisms is adding active-actuated kinematic branches on the basis of the traditional parallel mechanisms, or using screw theory to perform multiple getting intersection and union to ...

Optimal dimensional synthesis of force feedback lower arm exoskeletons [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This paper presents multi-criteria design optimization of parallel mechanism based force feedback exoskeletons for human forearm and wrist. The optimized devices are aimed to be employed as a high fidelity haptic interfaces.

Constraint and Mobility Change Analysis of Rubik’s Cube-inspired Reconfigurable Joints and Corresponding Parallel Mechanisms

open access: yes, 2020
The current research of reconfigurable parallel mechanism mainly focuses on the construction of reconfigurable joints. Compared with the method of changing the mobility by physical locking joints, the geometric constraint has good controllability, and ...

Parallel Mechanisms. Parallel CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine Using Parallel Mechanism).

open access: yesJournal of the Japan Society for Precision Engineering, 1997

Type Synthesis of Lower Mobility Parallel Mechanisms: A Review

open access: yesChinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering, 2019
Type synthesis of mechanisms aims to systematically determine all possible structures for a specific mobility requirement. Numerous methods based on different theories were proposed for type synthesis of lower mobility parallel mechanisms in past decades.

Contact Quantization: Quantum Mechanics = Parallel transport [PDF]

open access: yesArchivum Mathematicum, 2018
Quantization together with quantum dynamics can be simultaneously formulated as the problem of finding an appropriate flat connection on a Hilbert bundle over a contact manifold. Contact geometry treats time, generalized positions and momenta as points on an underlying phase-spacetime and reduces classical mechanics to contact topology.
