Invasive interactive parallelization

open access: yes, 2007
While looking at the strengths and weaknesses of contemporary approaches to parallelization this thesis s uggests a form of parallelizing refactoring - Invasive Interactive Parallelization - that aims at addressing a number of weaker sides of ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Programmer-assisted Automatic Parallelization

open access: yes, 2011
Parallel software is now required to exploit the abundance of threads and processors in modern multicore computers. Unfortunately, manual parallelization is too time-consuming and error-prone for all but the most advanced programmers.

A practical oracle for sequential code parallelization [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
With the relatively recent switch from single- to multi- core processors, parallelism now plays a much larger role in maximizing program performance.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.
