Modelling stem cell differentiation related processes—A practical overview for biologists

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Stem cell differentiation is complex and difficult to control experimentally. This review introduces suitable computational modelling approaches that can support stem cell research, from mechanistic ODE and abstract models to multiscale and deep learning methods.

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

RESEARCH OF BEHAVIOR OF TWO FIRMS BY MEANS OF VOLTERRA MODEL OF INTERACTION OF COMMUNITIES

open access: yesВестник Северо-Кавказского федерального университета, 2022
Coordinates of a steady steady state of model interaction of two firms are found in economy by comparison with two-specific Volterra model with any coefficients.

Nonlinear calculation of earth pressures considering displacement effect

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao, 2019
There is much difference between the calculated results of ultimate earth pressure theory and the experimental ones. To solve this problem, based on the Rankine's earth pressure theory and the two-parameter method, an earth pressure method considering ...

Mixed‐class J‐domain protein scaffolds promote expanded aggregate handling and multivalent Hsp70 engagement during functional disaggregase assembly

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein aggregates threaten proteostasis and cell health. In human cells, Hsp70–J‐domain protein‐based disaggregases remove aggregates, but how they assemble remains unclear. Our biochemical findings show that DNAJA2‐ and DNAJB1‐containing disaggregase scaffolds enhance luciferase aggregate targeting, and that Hsp70 recruitment by both J‐domain ...

Decoding the dynamic extracellular matrix in cancer—3D models and bioscaffolds rewire the rules of tumor progression

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cancer progression is regulated by the dynamic matrix code of the tumor microenvironment, which influences cellular behavior and disease development. Importantly, matrix remodeling in three‐dimensional cancer models more accurately reflects in vivo conditions compared to conventional two‐dimensional systems.

RESEARCH OF CHANGES OF STRUCTURE OF MODEL OF THE COMPETITION OF THREE COMMUNITIES

open access: yesВестник Северо-Кавказского федерального университета, 2022
Interaction of three communities is considered during comparison of model of the competition of three firms in economy and three-specific genetic model of a reproduction of DNA. Coexistence conditions are investigated.

Identification of a Shiga toxin A‐derived peptide internalized into Gb3 receptor‐bearing cells via interaction with the Shiga toxin B subunit

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The process of internalization of the Shiga toxin A subunit via formation of a complex with the Shiga toxin B subunit, which specifically binds to the Gb3 receptor. The peptide is designed to act as a carrier of drugs into cancer cells. Here, we explored the potential of peptides derived from the catalytic A subunit of Shiga toxin (STxA) to be drug ...

The Parameters of Educability

open access: yesCoRR
The educability model is a computational model that has been recently proposed to describe the cognitive capability that makes humans unique among existing biological species on Earth in being able to create advanced civilizations. Educability is defined as a capability for acquiring and applying knowledge.

Influence of structural parameters on characteristics of lithium battery cathode [PDF]

open access: yesЭлектрохимическая энергетика
The influence of the structural parameters of lithium battery cathodes on their characteristics has been studied. To explain the results obtained, a macrokinetic model of the electrode was applied, and mathematical simulation of the electrode discharge ...
