We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

A parameter identification problem involving a nonlinear parabolic differential equation [PDF]
This work contributes to the analysis of a parameter identification task for a certain type of parabolic PDE. The first part of this work proposes an analytical approach for the parameter identification problem.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Numerical parameter identification in multiphase flow through porous media [PDF]
Multiphase flow is of high interest for the investigation of the behavior of waste in groundwater. The high nonlinearity of the model equations pose special problems.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Modal parameter identification from output data only
To identify the modal parameters of a vibrating system from output data only we use a state space model and usually two approaches are considered: the block Hankel matrix and its shifted version and the block observability matrix and its shifted version.

Robust Design of Parameter Identification [PDF]
Quality of results computed during parameter identification problems relies on the selection of system's states while performing measurements. This choice usually does not take into account the uncertainty of states and of measures. For identifiability, classical methods focus only on the contribution of model errors on the uncertainty of parameters ...
