Quantum estimation of unknown parameters
We discuss the problem of finding the best measurement strategy for estimating the value of a quantum system parameter. In general the optimum quantum measurement, in the sense that it maximizes the quantum Fisher information and hence allows one to ...

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Stochastic Generator of a New Family of Lifetime Distributions with Illustration
In this article, a new family of lifetime distributions is introduced to help researchers model different types of data sets. Furthermore, the maximum likelihood method was used in estimating the model's parameters.

List Distinguishing Parameters of Trees [PDF]
A coloring of the vertices of a graph G is said to be distinguishing} provided no nontrivial automorphism of G preserves all of the vertex colors. The distinguishing number of G, D(G), is the minimum number of colors in a distinguishing coloring of G ...

Potential therapeutic targeting of BKCa channels in glioblastoma treatment
This review summarizes current insights into the role of BKCa and mitoBKCa channels in glioblastoma biology, their potential classification as oncochannels, and the emerging pharmacological strategies targeting these channels, emphasizing the translational challenges in developing BKCa‐directed therapies for glioblastoma treatment.

The discussion of cosmological parameters used to be a source of embarrassment to cosmologists. Today, measurements of the cosmological parameters are leading the way into the era of precision cosmology. The CMB temperature is measured to four significant figures, T_0=2.7277+/-0.002 K; the Hubble constant is now determined with a reliable error ...

Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Moving to Extremal Graph Parameters [PDF]
Which graphs, in the class of all graphs with given numbers n and m of edges and vertices respectively, minimizes or maximizes the value of some graph parameter? In this paper we develop a technique which provides answers for several different parameters:

Renormalization group running of neutrino parameters
Neutrinos are the most elusive particles in our universe. They have masses at least one million times smaller than the electron mass, carry no electric charge, and very weakly interact with other particles, meaning they are rarely captured in terrestrial

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.
