The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

PARAMETRIC ROSE AS A SUBJECT OF MATHEMATICS, PROGRAMMING, AESTHETICS.
By using MATLAB we demonstrate a variety of parametric curves of the family "Parametric Rose" (Rhodonea), characterized by four factors. The article is intended to encourage students to study the parametric curves.

Dual-optimization trajectory planning based on parametric curves for a robot manipulator
This article presents a dual-optimization trajectory planning algorithm, which consists of the optimal path planning and the optimal motion profile planning for robot manipulators, where the path planning is based on parametric curves.

The main objective of this paper is to construct the various shapes and font designing of curves and to describe the curvature by using parametric and geometric continuity constraints of generalized hybrid trigonometric Bézier (GHT-Bézier) curves.

Parametrizing Algebraic Curves
We present the technique of parametrization of plane algebraic curves from a number theorist's point of view and present Kapferer's simple and beautiful (but little known) proof that nonsingular curves of degree > 2 cannot be parametrized by rational functions.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Robust Lorenz Curves: A Semiparametric Approach [PDF]
Lorenz curves and second-order dominance criteria are known to be sensitive to data contamination in the right tail of the distribution. We propose two ways of dealing with the problem: (1) Estimate Lorenz curves using parametric models for income ...

This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Detecting affine equivalences between certain types of parametric curves, in any dimension
Two curves are affinely equivalent if there exists an affine mapping transforming one of them onto the other. Thus, detecting affine equivalence comprises, as important particular cases, similarity, congruence and symmetry detection.

A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.
