Models and Methods for Automated Background Density Estimation in Hyperspectral Anomaly Detection
Detecting targets with unknown spectral signatures in hyperspectral imagery has been proven to be a topic of great interest in several applications. Because no knowledge about the targets of interest is assumed, this task is performed by searching the ...

The dFoCC pipeline starts with observed DED and resting‐state coordinates, which are then used to generate a library of triggered states. Correlation analysis of the calculated DED features of each candidate vs observed DED permits quantitative evaluation of candidate structural quality.

Nonparametric Estimation and Symmetry Tests for Conditional Density Functions. [PDF]
We suggest two new methods for conditional density estimation. The first is based on locally fitting a log-linear model, and is in the spirit of recent work on locally parametric techniques in density estimation.

Fuzzy-weighted bootstrap estimation in semi-parametric model
Many statisticians use a semi-parametric model to examine the relationship between explanatory and response variables. In practice, a data set often contains outliers and, hence the traditional estimation methods may not be appropriate. Wu et al.

Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.

The Detection Method of the Tobit Model in a Dataset
This article proposes an extension of detection methods for the Tobit model by generalizing existing approaches from cases with known parameters to more realistic scenarios where the parameters are unknown.

Small area estimation on poverty indicators [PDF]
We propose to estimate non-linear small area population quantities by using Empirical Best (EB) estimators based on a nested error model. EB estimators are obtained by Monte Carlo approximation.

Abruptly changing from aerobic to anaerobic conditions (sudden anaerobization) induced growth inhibition and a significant increase in intracellular labile ferrous iron in the aerotolerant anaerobe Amphibacillus xylanus. We found that free flavins mediate efficient electron transfer from NADH to ferric iron under anaerobic conditions, suggesting that ...
