Engineering IL‐4 resistant proinflammatory human myeloid cells for cancer immunotherapy
We developed a scalable workflow to generate proinflammatory human myeloid cells. CRISPR/Cas9‐edited CD34+ hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells were expanded and differentiated with M‐CSF. Deletion of STAT6 or STAT6/NFKB1 enhanced macrophage proinflammatory gene expression and cytokine secretion in the presence of IL‐4 while maintaining antibody ...

Tumour‐proximal deep serum proteomics identifies biomarkers associated with ovarian cancer
New biomarkers are needed for early ovarian cancer detection. Ovarian (tumour‐proximal) and peripheral vein serum from healthy women and patients with benign or malignant tumours underwent nanoparticle‐enriched deep proteomics. Ovarian serum yielded more protein identifications and revealed tumour‐reflective signatures.

1965] “Parametric excitation of a nonlinear system
A study has been made on the parametric excitation of a nonlinear system with hardening springs. In the parametric excitation of linear systems, the only subharmonic predicted is a subharmonic of order 1/2.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Optimizing photoactivation of PA‐mCherry for optical pooled CRISPR screens
Photoactivatable PA‐mCherry finds widespread use to optically tag individual cells. However, confocal 405 nm UV laser‐scanning (normal scan) is much less efficient than widefield UV illumination, limiting the use of PA‐mCherry on confocal instruments. We remedy this limitation by reporting that rapid and repeated confocal scanning with a low‐intensity,

Multiparticle simulation of adiabatic excitation of longitudinal parametric resonances
In order to further understand phenomena observed during studies of adiabatic excitation of longitudinal bunch shape oscillations [M. Bai et al., Phys. Rev. ST Accel. Beams 3, 064001 (2000)], we have developed a simulation using a one-turn map.

Study of additional parametric excitation on reduction of forced resonance vibrations
This contribution deals with active reduction of unacceptable vibrations by means of parametric excitation fulfilling certain conditions. It is studied on the case of 2DOF system with additional parametric excitation under harmonic force excitation.
