Sensitivity of Cell Cultures on Time-Varying Low-Frequency Magnetic Field Changes
This article is focused on the in vitro experimental verification of the basic necessary conditions for valid interpretation of an ion parametric resonance prediction model of biological reaction on an externally applied, extremely low-frequency magnetic

Preheating and phase transitions in gauge theories [PDF]
It has recently been suggested that the baryon washout problem of the standard electroweak baryogenesis scenario could be avoided if inflation ends with a period of parametric resonance at a low enough energy density.

Stellar instability from parametric resonance
Abstract In this paper we examine the stability of stellar configurations in which the interior solution is described by a closed Friedmann-Lemaître-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) geometry sourced with a charged pressureless fluid and radiation.

Targeting TNBC: core–shell polycationic polyurea dendrimers with inherent anticancer activity
Core–shell polycationic PURE dendrimers were tested in TNBC‐derived tumor models. Both formulations selectively targeted TNBC and effectively reduced tumor volume. PUREG4‐OEI48 suppressed tumor growth without detectable toxicity, whereas PUREG4‐OCEI24, despite showing efficacy, induced hepatic toxicity.

A Real-Time Detection System for the Onset of Parametric Resonance in Wave Energy Converters
Parametric resonance is a dynamic instability due to the internal transfer of energy between degrees of freedom. Parametric resonance is known to cause large unstable pitch and/or roll motions in floating bodies, and has been observed in wave energy ...

We investigated the toxicity of 12 active compounds commonly found in herbal weight loss supplements (WLS) using human liver and colon cell models. Epigallocatechin‐3‐gallate was the only compound showing significant toxicity. Metabolic profiling revealed protein degradation, disrupted energy and lipid metabolism suggesting that the inclusion of EGCG ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Parametric generation of quadrature squeezing of mirrors in cavity optomechanics
We propose a method to generate quadrature squeezed states of a moving mirror in a Fabry-Perot cavity. This is achieved by exploiting the fact that when the cavity is driven by an external field with a large detuning, the moving mirror behaves as a ...

Parametric resonances in axionic cosmic strings
Abstract In this letter we uncover a new parametric resonance of axionic cosmic strings. This process is triggered by the presence on the string of internal mode excitations that resonantly amplify the amplitude of transverse displacements of the string.
