Recurrent Remitting Seronegative Symmetrical Synovitis With Pitting Edema in a Nonagenarian: An Atypical Clinical Course Requiring Methotrexate for Remission

open access: yesJournal of General and Family Medicine, Volume 27, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Remitting seronegative symmetrical synovitis with pitting edema (RS3PE) syndrome is a rare inflammatory arthritis of older adults. We report a 92‐year‐old man who presented with fatigue and distal pitting edema, fulfilling the clinical features of RS3PE.

Top‐Down Proteomics Study of Aging and Sexual Dimorphism of Zebrafish Brains

open access: yesJournal of Mass Spectrometry, Volume 61, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Aging significantly impacts brain function and increases susceptibility to neurodegenerative diseases, with notable sex dimorphism observed in aging‐related dementia, such as Alzheimer's disease. To better understand the molecular mechanisms of aging and dementia, it is essential to globally and accurately characterize biomolecules (e.g ...

Sural/Radial Amplitude Ratio: A Useful Tool to Diagnose Non‐Length‐Dependent Neuropathy

open access: yesMuscle &Nerve, Volume 73, Issue 1, Page 34-40, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction/Aims Patients with non‐length‐dependent neuropathy (NLDN) exhibit reduced sensory nerve action potential (SNAP) amplitudes in both lower and upper limbs. This study aimed to determine a threshold for the sural/radial amplitude ratio (SRAR) suggestive of NLDN.

From Hypoglycaemia to Haemorrhage: A Case of Giant Pleural Solitary Fibrous Tumour With Doege–Potter Syndrome

open access: yesRespirology Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
We describe a case of Doege–Potter syndrome from a giant pleural solitary fibrous tumour in a 76‐year‐old male. This case highlights the potential for maintaining pre‐operative normoglycaemia without glucocorticoids and emphasises recognising tumour vascularity on imaging to anticipate intra‐operative bleeding risk. ABSTRACT Doege–Potter Syndrome (DPS)
