The highly diverse repertoire of transposable elements within the genomes of parasitic wasps (Hymenoptera: Braconidae)

open access: yesMobile DNA
Transposable elements (TEs) are known to be major components of eukaryotic genomes and impact genome evolution and architecture, including in the speciose lineage of Insecta.

Engineering a Fluorinated AlPO4 Interface: Toward High Initial Coulombic Efficiency and Stable Oxygen Redox in Li‐Rich Layered Oxide Cathodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We report a chemically incorporated fluorinated AlPO4 (AlPO4‐F) architecture that functions as a multifunctional “interfacial fortress” for Li‐rich layered oxides (LLOs). By modulating the surface potential to –32.16 mV, this architecture enriches Li+ concentration and repels detrimental electrolyte anions.

Design and Analysis of a Gate Driver Power Supply Architecture for Common-Mode Current Reduction

open access: yesIEEE Access
High-speed switching devices, including wide-bandgap semiconductors such as SiC and GaN, generate common-mode (CM) current through the parasitic capacitances of gate driver power supplies (GDPSs), which affects switching device operation and stability ...

Single‐Chromophore Homojunction Organic Solar Cells: A Path to Simplicity and Efficiency

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This perspective discusses how the intrinsic optoelectronic properties of organic semiconductors, their molecular packing in the solid‐state, and internal energetic gradients within a device can enable free‐charge carrier generation in homojunction organic solar cells.

Self-Heating and Parasitic Effects in Multi-Tier CFET Design

open access: yesIEEE Journal on Exploratory Solid-State Computational Devices and Circuits
In this article, we study the impact of self-heating effects (SHEs) and middle of line (MOL) and back-end of line (BEOL) induced parasitics on multi-tier CFET design, where multiple nanosheet devices are vertically stacked.

The use of a vest equipped with a global positioning system to assess water-contact patterns associated with schistosomiasis

open access: yesGeospatial Health, 2007
The real exposure to many of the tropical diseases is difficult to assess at the individual-level due to problems of recall, self-reported diaries, personnel requirements, and altered behaviour related to observation.

Transparent Perovskite Light‐Emitting Diodes with Conductive Oxide Top Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Transparent perovskite light‐emitting diodes (TrPeLEDs) enable simultaneous display and transparency, expanding application possibilities. Using a metal oxide buffer layer and pulsed laser deposition, TrPeLEDs with diverse compositions and architectures are demonstrated.
