Bio‐Inspired Artificial Ionic Mechanoreceptor

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A skin‐inspired artificial mechanoreceptor based on ionic interactions is presented for biomimetic tactile sensing. Pressure‐driven ionic redistribution within microfluidic channels generates a self‐powered electrical signal without external bias. The generated waveform exhibits mechanoreceptor‐like temporal features, including overshoot and undershoot,

Golgi architecture in the malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, 2007
Plasmodium falciparum, the causative agent of malaria, relies on a sophisticated protein secretion system for host cell invasion and transformation. Although the parasite displays a secretory pathway similar to those of all eukaryotic organisms, it possesses a rather unique Golgi apparatus.

Living from existing; Parasitic architecture

open access: yes, 2022
Biyoloji alanında karşımıza çıkan simbiyoz kavramı, iki organizma arasındaki her türlü ilişkiyi tarif etmektedir. Parazitlik kavramı ise bu iki organizmadan birinin aralarındaki ilişkiden yarar sağladığı ve diğer organizmanın ise zarar gördüğü bir ...

Kinetics‐Controlled Architecture of Binder‐Free Organic Electrodes for Enhanced Ion Transport

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Pulse reverse electrodeposition controls nucleation and growth to create hierarchically porous Py‐derived oligomeric electrodes with enhanced ionic accessibility and reduced transport resistance. The resulting binder‐free architectures translate these transport advantages into practical sodium‐storage functionality.

Spiral-Loop Sequential-Phase-Fed Radial-Sector Patch CP Antenna with Metasurface Superstrate and Parasitic Elements for S-Band CubeSats

open access: yesTechnologies
This work presents a spiral-loop sequential-phase (SLSP)-fed radial-sector patch circularly polarized (CP) antenna for S-band CubeSat platforms. The architecture stacks three RO4003C substrates in an aluminum enclosure: a lower layer with tapered-blade ...

Modal Analysis of Light Propagation, Polarization and Diffraction by Cholesteric Liquid Crystal Layers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The analysis of optical eigenmodes in chiral liquid crystal with perpendicular or tilted helical axis, and their correspondence with the external medium, leads to an intuitive understanding of the angle and wavelength dependency of transmissive and reflective diffraction.

Comparative Performance and Partial Load Cycling of Sodium‐Metal Chloride Battery Modules With Mixed‐Metal Fe,Zn and Ni,Fe Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Sustainable Na‐(Fe,Zn)Cl2 battery modules deliver discharge energies comparable to state‐of‐the‐art Na‐(Ni,Fe)Cl2 batteries through high active‐material utilization, although with lower power capability. Advanced electrochemical characterization reveals a distinct reaction mechanism and low resistance during Fe dechlorination.
