RNA trafficking in parasitic plant systems
RNA trafficking in plants contributes to local and long-distance coordination of plant development and response to the environment. However, investigations of mobile RNA identity and function are hindered by the inherent difficulty of tracing a given ...

Polymer Interface Enables Reversible Quasi‐Solid Sulfur Conversion in Sodium‐Sulfur Batteries
The polymer interface enables a stable quasi‐solid sulfur conversion pathway in room‐temperature Na─S batteries. The coating regulates Na+ transport, stabilizes the cathode–electrolyte interphase, and accommodates mechanical stress, suppressing electrolyte decomposition and sulfur migration, thereby improving reaction uniformity, reducing polarization,

Historical Foundation and Practical Guideline for Ferroelectric Switching Kinetic Studies
The P and U pulses in the conventional PUND measurements are not identical because of the interplay between switching current and the measurement circuit components. This circuit effect can lead to a shift in polarization transients and misinterpreted physics in the switching kinetics.

In the work reported herein, dipole‐engineered sulfonated carbon nanofibers enable conductive additives to actively regulate interphase formation in silicon anodes. Polar sulfonyl groups guide electrolyte decomposition to form a compact LiF‐rich interphase while promoting robust integration with silicon.

Efficacy of Beneficial Microbes in Sustainable Management of Plant Parasitic Nematodes: A Review
The soil inhabits many microbes, including plant parasitic nematodes. Plant parasitic nematodes are reported to cause substantial damage to crops which results in yield and economic losses. Chemical control is the most widely used method to control plant

Tuning Separator Chemistry: Improving Zn Anode Compatibility via Functionalized Chitin Nanofibers
Nanochitin derived from waste shrimp shells is used to fabricate separators for aqueous zinc batteries. By tuning the density of amine and carboxylic surface groups, water mobility at the separator interface is controlled, promoting uniform zinc deposition, suppressing dendrite growth, and enabling exceptional cycling stability exceeding 2000 h ...

A gradient M/MOx (M = Sn, Cu, Cd) synergistic interphase was constructed on Al via a one‐step displacement reaction. This interphase leverages high aluminophilicity and ion‐buffering capability to accelerate desolvation, enhance Al3+ transport, and suppress side reactions, enabling ultrastable symmetric cell operation at 0.05 mA cm−2 for 1800 h with an

Chiral Phase Change Nanomaterials
This work demonstrates reversible, non‐volatile phase transitions in chiral Ge2${\rm Ge}_2$Sb2${\rm Sb}_2$Te5${\rm Te}_5$ (GST) nanohelices for high‐speed optical modulation of chirality and dynamic control of the state of polarization (SOP). The chiral nanostructures are fabricated using a highly directional, wafer‐scale physical vapor deposition ...

Bioinformatic and functional characterisation of Globodera pallida effector genes [PDF]
Pathogens secrete molecules, termed effectors, to manipulate their host to the benefit of the pathogen. Effectors of plant parasitic nematodes are predicted to have a range of functions such as facilitating invasion, initiation and maintenance of the ...
