Parathyroid hormone (PTH), PTH-derived peptides, and new PTH assays in renal osteodystrophy [PDF]
Parathyroid hormone (PTH), PTH-derived peptides, and new PTH assays in renal osteodystrophy. Reliable measurements of parathyroid hormone (PTH) concentrations in serum or plasma are critical for the appropriate diagnosis and management of patients with renal osteodystrophy.

Role of Parathyroid Hormone and Parathyroid Hormone-Related Protein in Protein-Energy Malnutrition [PDF]
Parathyroid hormone (PTH) is an endocrine peptide found exclusively in the parathyroid glands, whereas parathyroid hormone-related protein (PTHrP) is expressed in a wide range of tissues and organs and exerts endocrine, paracrine, and autocrine actions ...

Modulating the Fibrillization of Parathyroid-Hormone (PTH) Peptides: Azo-Switches as Reversible and Catalytic Entities. [PDF]
We here report a novel strategy to control the bioavailability of the fibrillizing parathyroid hormone (PTH)-derived peptides, where the concentration of the bioactive form is controlled by an reversible, photoswitchable peptide.

Molecular Mechanisms of Parathyroid Disorders in Chronic Kidney Disease
Secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHP) is a common complication of chronic kidney disease (CKD) that induces morbidity and mortality in patients. How CKD stimulates the parathyroid to increase parathyroid hormone (PTH) secretion, gene expression and cell ...

European multicentre study on outcome of surgery for sporadic primary hyperparathyroidism
Some 5861 patients undergoing first‐time surgery for sporadic primary hyperparathyroidism were registered in the Eurocrine® database between 2015 and 2018. The use of intraoperative parathyroid hormone measurement decreased the risk of conversion and persistent hypercalcaemia.
