Reference Set Generator: A Method for Pareto Front Approximation and Reference Set Generation
In this paper, we address the problem of obtaining bias-free and complete finite size approximations of the solution sets (Pareto fronts) of multi-objective optimization problems (MOPs). Such approximations are, in particular, required for the fair usage

High-Fidelity Surrogate Based Multi-Objective Optimization Algorithm
The employment of conventional optimization procedures that must be repeatedly invoked during the optimization process in real-world engineering applications is hindered despite significant gains in computing power by computationally expensive models. As

Collision‐Resilient Winged Drones Enabled by Tensegrity Structures
Based on structures of birds such as the woodpeck, this article presents the collision‐resilient aerial robot, SWIFT. SWIFT leverages tensegrity structures in the fuselage and wings which allow it to undergo large deformations in a crash, without sustaining damage. Experiments show that SWIFT can reduce impact forces by 70% over conventional structures.

Handling Multimodality in Pareto Set Estimation via Cluster-Wise Decomposition
Multimodal multi-objective optimization problems often exhibit one-to-many mappings, where multiple distinct variable vectors correspond to the same objective vector. This characteristic makes Pareto set (PS) estimation difficult, as conventional inverse

Effective and efficient algorithm for multiobjective optimization of hydrologic models [PDF]
Practical experience with the calibration of hydrologic models suggests that any single-objective function, no matter how carefully chosen, is often inadequate to properly measure all of the characteristics of the observed data deemed to be important ...
