Gonc̆arov polynomials and parking functions

open access: yes, 2003
Let u be a sequence of non-decreasing positive integers. A u-parking function of length n is a sequence (x1,x2,…,xn) whose order statistics (the sequence (x(1),x(2),…,x(n)) obtained by rearranging the original sequence in non-decreasing order) satisfy x ...

Engineering of Glioblastoma‐Derived Biomimetic Vesicles and Their Structural and Molecular Features

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Biomimetic nanosystems and vesicles have arisen as a novel approach to design vesicular transport systems with diverse therapeutic potential. The ‘biomimetic’ strategy involves the integration of cell membrane components into lipid bilayers, conferring them with biological properties originating from the cell of origin. Until now, most studies

Coaxially Electrospun Myocardial dECM‐ Based Nanofibrous Scaffolds Demonstrate Enhanced Cardiomyocyte Biocompatibility

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Our coaxial electrospinning system is capable of incorporating decellularized myocardial extracellular matrix in a core‐sheath configuration, creating nanofibrous scaffolds. These scaffolds, in turn, support the maintenance of functional cardiomyocytes adhered to the surface of these bioactive scaffolds.

Nanobody‐Conjugated Theranostic Prodrug Targeting αvβ3 Integrin Enables Precision Cancer Therapy With Real‐Time Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
The image shows a schematic form a nanobody‐conjugated theranostic prodrug (NBD) platform targeting tumor‐associated αvβ3 integrin. The NBD system integrates selective nanobody‐mediated tumor recognition, glutathione‐responsive disulfide cleavage for doxorubicin release, and aza‐BODIPY‐based near‐infrared fluorescence for real‐time imaging.

Probabilistic (m, n)-Parking Functions

open access: yesThe Electronic Journal of Combinatorics
In this article, we establish new results on the probabilistic parking model (introduced by Durmić, Han, Harris, Ribeiro, and Yin) with $m$ cars and $n$ parking spots and probability parameter $p \in [0,1]$. For any $m \leq n$ and $p \in [0,1]$, we study the parking preference of the last car, denoted $a_m$, and determine the conditional distribution ...

Tau-indifferent parking functions

open access: yes
Under the direction of Dr. Molly Lynch Parking functions have been well-studied for many years. Parking functions involve n cars, each with a preferred parking spot on a one-way street.

Piezoelectric Surface Charge and Dynamic Stimulation Synergize to Promote Cardiac Myoblast Alignment and Maturation

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Surface polarization of PVDF films combined with mechanical stimulation generates piezoelectric electrical cues that modulate cardiomyoblast behaviour. Non‐poled and poled PVDF substrates provide distinct electroactive microenvironments influencing cell adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation.

The Legal Status of Paid Parking in Churches in the Perspective of Regional Taxes and Levies

open access: yesPattimura Legal Journal
Introduction: Churches, as religious institutions, are generally exempt from taxation. However, the emergence of paid parking practices within church premises has not received public criticism.

Ferroelectric Quantum Dots for Retinomorphic In‐Sensor Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work has provided a protocol for fabricating retinomorphic phototransistors by integrating ferroelectric ligands with quantum dots. The resulting device combines ferroelectricity, optical responsiveness, and low‐power operation to enable adaptive signal amplification and high recognition accuracy under low‐light conditions, while supporting ...
