Unveiling Origin Pitfalls in Metagenomic Surveillance for Emerging Infectious Diseases: Parvoviruses as a Model

open access: yesiMetaMed, EarlyView.
A diverse reagent‐associated virome, including parvoviruses, misleads zoonotic surveillance. By leveraging large language models (ChatGPT‐4o), we construct a virus discovery data framework (PVDDC) and ParvoDB to access and correct host misattributions, thereby enhancing the accuracy of metagenomic surveillance for emerging zoonotic diseases.

Integrating surface‐enhanced Raman scattering with machine learning: Pioneering a comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic platform for cancer management

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Integrating Surface‐Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) with machine learning creates a powerful platform for cancer management. This approach enhances diagnostic precision through non‐invasive molecular fingerprinting and enables real‐time therapeutic monitoring. By combining SERS with machine learning, it offers a comprehensive solution for early cancer

Teaching undergraduates to solve equivalence problems by using cover, copy, and compare: A translational study

open access: yesJournal of Applied Behavior Analysis, EarlyView.
Abstract Cover, copy, and compare (CCC) is a study strategy in which students cover their notes, attempt to copy them, and then compare for accuracy. We evaluated whether CCC could be used to establish equivalence classes with undergraduate students.

A Partial Identification Approach to Identifying the Determinants of Human Capital Accumulation: An Application to Teachers

open access: yesJournal of Applied Econometrics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper views career growth in teacher quality through the lens of human capital theory to understand the roles of on‐the‐job training (OJT) and learning by doing (LBD) in human capital formation. If OJT is the primary determinant of human capital, incentive pay policies could create a dynamic multitasking problem, leading teachers to ...
