Partial actions of groups on profinite spaces

open access: yesApplied General Topology
We show that for a partial action η with closed domain of a compact group G on a profinite space X the space of orbits X/~G is profinite, this leads to the fact that when G is profinite the enveloping space XG is also profinite.

Neuropharmacological classification of antidepressant agents based on their mechanisms of action

open access: yesArchives of Medicine and Health Sciences, 2018
The currently available clinical antidepressants can be classified into 13 different classes based on their mechanisms of action. These basic pharmacological concepts thoroughly elucidate and unravel the therapeutic actions and side effects of the wide ...

Gene action and combining ability of yield and yield related characters in genetically diverse lines in yard long bean [Vigna unguiculata ssp. sesquipedalis (L.) Verdc.]

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Plant Breeding, 2021
Ten parents were mated in partial diallel fashion to develop twenty five crosses and were evaluated along with parents in Randomised block design. All the characters studied had non-additive and additive gene action as indicated by the significant ...

Linear Operators and Equations with Partial Integrals

open access: yesСовременная математика: Фундаментальные направления, 2019
We consider linear operators and equations with partial integrals in Banach ideal spaces, spaces of vector functions, and spaces of continuous functions. We study the action, regularity, duality, algebras, Fredholm properties, invertibility, and spectral

Transition states and entangled mass action law

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2021
The classical approaches to the derivation of the (generalized) Mass Action Law (MAL) assume that the intermediate transition state (i) has short life time and (ii) is in partial equilibrium with the initial reagents of the elementary reaction.

The Partial Deinstitutionalization of Affirmative Action in U.S. Higher Education, 1988 to 2014

open access: yesSociological Science, 2017
Since the 1990s, affirmative action opponents have targeted colleges’ and universities’ race-conscious admissions policies and secured bans on the practice in eight states. Although scholarly and media attention has focused on these dynamics at a handful

Linguistic-Driven Partial Semantic Relevance Learning for Skeleton-Based Action Recognition

open access: yesSensors
Skeleton-based action recognition, renowned for its computational efficiency and indifference to lighting variations, has become a focal point in the realm of motion analysis. However, most current methods typically only extract global skeleton features,

Comparative Evaluation of Hemodiafiltration, Hemoperfusion, and Standard Hemodialysis on Efficacy, Inflammatory Control, Dialysis Adequacy, and Safety in End‐Stage Renal Disease: A Prospective Observational Study

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

Hyperfiniteness of boundary actions of acylindrically hyperbolic groups

open access: yesForum of Mathematics, Sigma
We prove that, for any countable acylindrically hyperbolic group G, there exists a generating set S of G such that the corresponding Cayley graph $\Gamma (G,S)$ is hyperbolic, $|\partial \Gamma (G,S)|>2$ , the natural action of G on ...

Safety of Daprodustat for the Treatment of Chronic Kidney Disease Anemia: Final Analysis of a Multicenter Postmarketing Surveillance Study in Japan

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction This final analysis of a multicenter, prospective postmarketing surveillance study evaluated the safety of daprodustat in patients with chronic kidney disease anemia in routine clinical practice in Japan. Methods Patients who initiated daprodustat between September 2020 and July 2022 were registered.
