Optimal combination of signals from co-located gravitational wave interferometers for use in searches for a stochastic background [PDF]
This article derives an optimal (i.e., unbiased, minimum variance) estimator for the pseudo-detector strain for a pair of co-located gravitational wave interferometers (such as the pair of LIGO interferometers at its Hanford Observatory), allowing for ...

Viscoelasticity‐driven instabilities are harnessed to create tunable, periodic textures in 3D‐printed liquid crystalline polymers. This study illustrates how processing parameters control these spontaneous meso‐scale patterns. These unique structural architectures unlock new possibilities for functional devices, ranging from photonic components to ...

Feedback control of trapped coherent atomic ensembles
We demonstrate how to use feedback to control the internal states of trapped coherent ensembles of two-level atoms, and to protect a superposition state against the decoherence induced by a collective noise.

Modulated Unit-Norm Tight Frames for Compressed Sensing [PDF]
In this paper, we propose a compressed sensing (CS) framework that consists of three parts: a unit-norm tight frame (UTF), a random diagonal matrix and a column-wise orthonormal matrix.

Anion‐exchange doping of conjugated polymers is an effective way to achieve high conductivities. Here, we report over 2000 S cm−1 electrical conductivity for doped P(g3BTTT). In addition, we show that P(g3BTTT) sustains exceptionally high doping levels without any drop in the charge mobility.

A methodological framework is presented for combinatorial REBCO thin films fabricated by drop‐on‐demand inkjet printing with controlled Rare Earth composition gradients. Automated, synchrotron‐based, and local characterization techniques produce comprehensive property maps that correlate composition and TLAG process parameters with superconducting ...

Tuning Locality of Pair Coherence in Graphene-based Andreev Interferometers [PDF]
We report on gate-tuned locality of superconductivity-induced phase-coherent magnetoconductance oscillations in a graphene-based Andreev interferometer, consisting of a T-shaped graphene bar in contact with a superconducting Al loop.

What can we learn from three-pion interferometry ? [PDF]
We address the question which additional information on the source shape and dynamics can be extracted from three-particle Bose-Einstein correlations. For chaotic sources the true three-particle correlation term is shown to be sensitive to the momentum ...
