Green's function of a centered partial difference equation

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2009
Applying a variation of Jacobi iteration we obtain the Green's function for the centered partial difference equation $$\Delta_{ww} u(x_{w-1},y_z) + \Delta_{zz} u(x_w,y_{z-1}) + f(u(x_w,y_z))=0,$$ which is the result of applying the finite difference ...

CRISPR targeting of FOXL2 c.402C>G mutation reduces malignant phenotype in granulosa tumor cells and identifies anti‐tumoral compounds

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
FOXL2 c.402C>G mutation drives granulosa cell tumors. Using CRISPR technology, we selectively corrected this mutation, reducing malignancy and increasing sensitivity to dasatinib and ketoconazole. Transcriptomic changes revealed potential therapeutic targets, demonstrating CRISPR's promise for treating this rare ovarian cancer.

Accuracy of patient dose estimation in cone beam computed tomography in breast irradiation by size‐specific dose estimates with position correction

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Volume 23, Issue 12, December 2022., 2022
Abstract This study aims to investigate the effects of the position correction of size‐specific dose estimates (SSDE) on patient dose estimation in cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). The relationship between the phantom position and absorbed dose in the right breast was studied using optically stimulated luminescence dosimeters and a simulated human

Travelling wave solutions of nonlinear systems of PDEs by using the functional variable method

open access: yesBoletim da Sociedade Paranaense de Matemática, 2016
In this paper, we will use the functional variable method to construct exact solutions of some nonlinear systems of partial differential equations, including, the (2+1)-dimensional Bogoyavlenskii’s breaking soliton equation, the WhithamBroer-Kaup-Like ...

Partial linearization for nonautonomous differential equations [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
In this paper, we prove the partial linearization for n-dimensional nonautonomous differential equations. The conditions are formulated in terms of the dichotomy spectrum.

Whole‐genome sequencing of cell‐free DNA reveals DNA of tumor origin in plasma from patients with colorectal adenomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐informed whole‐genome sequencing (MRD‐EDGESNV) was applied to detect circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in patients with colorectal adenomas. Using a 95% specificity threshold, established from stage III colorectal cancer patients, ctDNA was detected in 50% of symptomatic and 25% of asymptomatic adenoma cases with median tumor fractions of 5.9 × 10−5 ...

On the splitting-up method for rough (partial) differential equations [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2010
This article introduces the splitting method to systems responding to rough paths as external stimuli. The focus is on nonlinear partial differential equations with rough noise but we also cover rough differential equations. Applications to stochastic partial differential equations arising in control theory and nonlinear filtering are given.

MET variants with activating N‐lobe mutations identified in hereditary papillary renal cell carcinomas still require ligand stimulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MET variants in the N‐lobe of the kinase domain, found in hereditary papillary renal cell carcinoma, require ligand stimulation to promote cell transformation, in contrast to other RTK variants. This suggests that HGF expression in the microenvironment is important for tumor growth in such patients. Their sensitivity to MET inhibitors opens the way for
