Chronic TGF‐β exposure drives epithelial HCC cells from a senescent state to a TGF‐β resistant mesenchymal phenotype. This transition is characterized by the loss of Smad3‐mediated signaling, escape from senescence, enhanced invasiveness and metastatic potential, and upregulation of key resistance modulators such as MARK1 and GRM8, ultimately promoting

Statistical inference for partial differential equations*
Many physical phenomena are modeled by parametrized PDEs. The poor knowledge on the involved parameters is often one of the numerous sources of uncertainties on these models.

Dual targeting of AKT and mTOR using MK2206 and RAD001 reduces tumor burden in an intracardiac colon cancer circulating tumor cell xenotransplantation model. Analysis of AKT isoform‐specific knockdowns in CTC‐MCC‐41 reveals differentially regulated proteins and phospho‐proteins by liquid chromatography coupled mass spectrometry. Circulating tumor cells

Mild solutions to semilinear rough partial differential equations [PDF]
We provide an existence and uniqueness result for mild solutions to rough partial differential equations in the framework of the semigroup approach. Applications to stochastic partial differential equations driven by infinite dimensional Wiener processes and infinite dimensional fractional Brownian motion are presented as well.

Inhibitor of DNA binding‐1 is a key regulator of cancer cell vasculogenic mimicry
Elevated expression of transcriptional regulator inhibitor of DNA binding 1 (ID1) promoted cancer cell‐mediated vasculogenic mimicry (VM) through regulation of pro‐angiogenic and pro‐cancerous genes (e.g. VE‐cadherin (CDH5), TIE2, MMP9, DKK1). Higher ID1 expression also increased metastases to the lung and the liver.

This study develops a semi‐supervised classifier integrating multi‐genomic data (1404 training/5893 validation samples) to improve homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) detection in breast cancer. Our method demonstrates prognostic value and predicts chemotherapy/PARP inhibitor sensitivity in HRD+ tumours.

Projective Geometry and PDE Prolongation [PDF]
In this dissertation we study basic local differential geometry, projective differential geometry, and prolongations of overdetermined geometric partial differential equations. It is simple to prolong an n-th order linear ordinary differential equation into n first order equations. For partial differential equations there is a related process but it is
