Bounder solution on a strip to a system of nonlinear hyperbolic equations with mixed derivatives

open access: yesҚарағанды университетінің хабаршысы. Математика сериясы, 2016
The system of nonlinear hyperbolic equations with mixed derivatives is considered on the strip. Time variable of the unknown function changes on the whole axis, and the spatial variable belongs to a finite interval.

Solutions for Functional Fully Coupled Forward-Backward Stochastic Differential Equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper, we study a functional fully coupled forward-backward stochastic differential equations (FBSDEs). Under a new type of integral Lipschitz and monotonicity conditions, the existence and uniqueness of solutions for functional fully coupled ...

Mathematics at the eve of a historic transition in biology

open access: yes, 2017
A century ago physicists and mathematicians worked in tandem and established quantum mechanism. Indeed, algebras, partial differential equations, group theory, and functional analysis underpin the foundation of quantum mechanism.

A partial functional differential equation of Sobolev type

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1983
where r(t), t > 0 is the semigroup of bounded linear operators generated by -AB-‘. Equations of type (1.1) have been considered by several authors [24; g-101. In particular our motivation comes from the recent article of Brill [2]. The method employed here is different from Brill’s; however, our results reduce to his when r = 0.

Reduction principle for partial functional differential equation without compactness

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2023
This article establishes a reduction principle for partial functional differential equation without compactness of the semigroup generated by the linear part. Under conditions more general than the compactness of the C0-semigroup generated by the linear part, we establish the quasi-compactness of the C0-semigroup associated to the linear part of the ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Asymptotic behavior of solutions of a partial functional differential equation

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2000
The asymptotic behavior of solutions of an asymptotically autonomous partial functional differential equation is investigated. The aim of the present paper is to extend our earlier result for ordinary functional differential equations and difference ...

Reduction of Linear Functional Systems using Fuhrmann's Equivalence

open access: yesSultan Qaboos University Journal for Science, 2016
Functional systems arise in the treatment of systems of partial differential equations, delay-differential equations, multidimensional equations, etc. The problem of reducing a linear functional system to a system containing fewer equations and unknowns ...

Stochastic maximum principle for optimal control of a class of nonlinear SPDEs with dissipative drift

open access: yes, 2015
We prove a version of the stochastic maximum principle, in the sense of Pontryagin, for the finite horizon optimal control of a stochastic partial differential equation driven by an infinite dimensional additive noise.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...
