Partial Hepatectomy in Adult Zebrafish

Journal of Visualized Experiments, 2021
Liver failure is one of the leading causes of death worldwide, and mortality from chronic liver disease is rising sharply in the United States. Healthy livers are capable of regenerating from toxic damage, but in advanced liver disease, the natural ability of the liver to regenerate is impaired.

Partial hepatectomy for intrahepatic stones

World Journal of Surgery, 1986
AbstractFifty partial hepatectomies were performed in 49 patients as the definitive treatment for symptomatic intrahepatic stones. The part of the liver containing the strictured ducts and stones was resected. A detailed methodology of partial hepatectomy in the mouse

Lab Animal, 2008
The technique of partial hepatectomy is widely used to model liver regeneration and cell cycle dynamics in vivo. Because murine gene expression can be manipulated relatively easily, partial hepatectomy in mice is a useful tool for exploring the contributions of different genes to such hepatic processes.

Robotic Partial Hepatectomy

2018
Minimally invasive liver resection has been adopted as the standard of care for peripheral hepatic lesions. While many surgeons are comfortable with left lateral sectionectomies and with laparoscopic wedge resections in peripheral segments, more major resections are less often attempted as minimally invasive (MIS).
