Laparoscopic Partial Hepatectomy: Animal Experiments [PDF]
As a first step in firmly establishing laparoscopic hepatectomy, we introduce a porcine model of laparoscopic partial hepatectomy. This procedure has been successfully performed under the normal‐pressure or low‐pressure pneumoperitoneum condition supported by the full‐thickness abdominal wall lifting technique.

Human iPSC‐derived Fabry cardiomyocytes exhibited broad transcriptional dysregulation, apoptosis, mitochondrial dysfunction, impaired reactive oxygen species handling, altered contractility, and abnormal calcium transient decay, potentially mediated by phospholamban hyperphosphorylation.

Histological and Morphometrical Studies in Liver Regeneration in Mice
Liver regeneration after loss of important cell population is a complex process involving all mature liver cell types. We study the response of hepatocytes in 24h and 48h after partial hepatectomy by microscopic and morphometric analysis.

Recent Advances in Functional Liver Volumetry: Emphasis on 99mTc‐GSA SPECT/CT Fusion Imaging
Functional liver volumetry enables more accurate assessment of the future liver remnant by integrating anatomical and functional information, improving risk stratification before major hepatectomy. Among available techniques, 99mTc‐GSA SPECT/CT fusion imaging enables precise regional functional assessment and more reliable prediction of post ...

The Role of Hepatic Stellate Cells and Angiogenesis in Liver Regeneration Following Partial Hepatectomy in Adult Male Albino Rats: Histological and Immunohistochemical Study [PDF]
Introduction: Partial hepatectomy is indicated as the main curative approach for traumatic rupture of the hepatic parenchyma, and hepatocellular carcinoma.

Objective: To investigate the effects of ischaemic preconditioning (IP) on residual liver regeneration after major hepatectomy without portal blood bypass in rats, and to verify whether it can protect the residual liver from ischaemia reperfusion (IR ...

Prediction of small for size syndrome after extended hepatectomy: Tissue characterization by relaxometry, diffusion weighted magnetic resonance imaging and magnetization transfer. [PDF]
This study aimed to monitor the course of liver regeneration by multiparametric magnetic-resonance imaging (MRI) after partial liver resection characterizing Small-for-Size Syndrome (SFSS), which frequently leads to fatal post-hepatectomy liver failure ...

Obesity‐linked hypercoagulation is driven by fibrinogen overproduction in a specific hepatocyte cluster via IL6 signalling. Genetic and mechanistic studies reveal this pathway as a key target for therapies to mitigate clotting risks and associated complications in obese individuals.
